Migrante Taiwan’s Statement On Sexual Violence Against Migrant Workers

Stop Gender Based Violence Now!

Migrante Taiwan, together with Serve the People Association- Taoyuan, and National Domestic Workers Union released a statement on recent statistics revealing increased sexual violence against migrant workers.

They demand immediate action from the government to fulfill their “zero-tolerance” promise against sexual violence, inclusion of migrant caretakers in the Labor Standards Act, stronger enforcement against sexual violence at homes and factories, employment mobility without employer consent, and accountability for brokers and employers who enable or cover up abuse.
